SupplyPoint visits Xidian and the School of Computer Science and Technology exchange 

 (Correspondent Li Wenhao) On the morning of July 24th , Mark Peers , Global President of SupplyPoint , and Byron Li and Austin Yang, Managers of SupplyPoint China, visited our school to communicate with the School of Computer Science and Technology. Professor Cui Jiangtao, Executive Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, Professor Liu Zhijing, Associate Professor of Data Mining and Service Computing, and Associate Professor Yao Yong participated in the exchange activities.

First, SupplyPoint Global President Mark Peers introduced the basic situation of SupplyPoint and the basis for cooperation. Mark said that in the early cooperation with the Yao Yong team of the School of Computer Science and Technology of Xidian University, the two sides have cooperated very effectively in the field of data management and visual computing. The results have been applied to the SupplyPoint global market and partners, and achieved quite a satisfactory application effect. Xidian University of Electronic Science and Technology is in a leading position in the field of computer science and technology, and has deep cooperation and experience with companies in the fields of aerospace and high-end intelligent manufacturing. This visit is the first time that SupplyPoint headquarters has visited Chinese universities, and hopes to have deeper cooperation with our institute, promote the transformation and application of high-quality scientific and technological achievements, and conduct joint research in the fields of industrial intelligence and Internet of Things. 
 

       Professor Cui Jiangtao, Executive Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, introduced the basic situation of the university's scientific research and personnel training. He said that computer science and technology, as the country's " double-class " discipline, has great scientific research advantages. At present, the Institute of Computer Science has a variety of research directions, including data mining, machine learning and other cutting-edge cutting-edge technologies, and has obtained many scientific research results. At the same time, as a strong subject of Xidian, the School of Computer Science has been promoting the integration of production, education and research in the past years. It is committed to the role of scientific research in production, and better put advanced scientific research into production and application. This is the exchange and cooperation of Computer Science research strengths and SupplyPoint commercial applications advantages of combining strong Qiang joint, give full play to their respective advantages, the application of advanced scientific research to the world and promote common progress of schools, businesses and society. At the same time, I hope that through this exchange and cooperation with SupplyPoint , the two sides will further strengthen strategic cooperation, promote mutual exchanges between schools and enterprises, and jointly promote the development of colleges, universities, and research institutes to a higher level.
 
       Liu Zhijing, head of the data mining and service computing team, then introduced the basic situation of the team. At the same time, he hopes that through this exchange and cooperation with SupplyPoint , he can give full play to the team's professional and talent advantages, and combine the experience and resources of SupplyPoint in the professional field to promote the cooperation and win-win cooperation between university personnel training and enterprise development.
 
       At the end of the meeting, Mr. Byron Li, Country Manager of SupplyPoint China, Mr. Li Wei, General Manager of St. Pauli Intelligent Storage Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Professor Liu Zhijing, Head of Data Mining and Service Computing Team, signed the “ Internet of Things Technology Partner ” framework agreement, with a view to forming a closer future. The deep cooperation relationship between industry, university and research institutes promotes the transformation and application of scientific research achievements in high-level universities.
